Swain Community Hospital is a 48-bed fully-accredited critical access hospital located in Bryson City, on Hospital Hill, serving the residents of Swain County and the surrounding area since 1948. The hospital provides an emergency department, inpatient and outpatient care including family practice, pediatrics, and geriatric psychiatry, laboratory, imaging, physical therapy, primary and specialty care to include OB-GYN, pulmonology, urology, and pain management. Swain Community Hospital is a Duke LifePoint hospital and has been affiliated with Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva since 1997.
