Some say the Falls was named after Mr. Junaluska “Juney” Whank. However, "Juney Whank" is also a Cherokee phrase, which means “place where the bear passes.” The ¼ mile uphill trail will lead you to the roaring falls. An eighty-foot cascade of water starts high above you and runs under a log footbridge, and meets up at the end of the trail with Deep Creek.Tom Branch Falls
Walk 1,000 feet along the Deep Creek trail to Tom Branch Falls. It is a wispy waterfall that splashes over 80 feet into Deep Creek. Sit beside the creek and take in the view or watch the inner-tubers float by.Indian Creek Falls
Continuing on the Deep Creek trail for one mile, the trail winds up to where Indian Creek spills into Deep Creek. Follow the Indian Creek Trail 200 feet uphill to Indian Creek Falls. The rapid waterfall loudly plunges 25 feet into the pool below. You can follow a small trail to get up close to the bottom of the falls.
