Deep Creek Loop
Start at Deep Creek to Loop Trail to Indian Creek and Back to Deep Creek. This is a relatively easy to moderate 4 miles except for one mile that crosses the 420-foot Sunkota Ridge. The trail passes by two lovely waterfalls, Toms Branch Falls and Indian Creek Falls. The Appalachian Trail
This trail stretches through Swain County from south of the Nantahala Gorge and follows the highest ridges of the Smoky Mountains National Park on its way to Maine. Oconaluftee River Trail
It is one of two walking paths in the National Park. The trail is a 1.5-mile one-way trail from the Oconaluftee Visitor Center's Mountain Farm Museum. It is mostly flat but has a few small hills.
